Mauricio Pochettino appears to have already made his first major call as Chelsea head coach by informing the club he intends to stick with Kepa Arrizabalaga as first choice.

While that view may not go down all that well with Chelsea supporters, Pochettino has clearly seen enough in the Spain international to put his faith in him – for now, at least.

What is the latest with Chelsea's goalkeeper situation?

Chelsea had been linked with Andre Onana and Mike Maignan, which would suggest Kepa's time as first choice between the sticks was surely coming to an end. Edouard Mendy may have departed for Saudi Arabia, but neither Onana nor Maignan were being brought in to provide cover.

Interestingly, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now suggests Chelsea are instead tempted to sign Anatoliy Trubin from Shakhtar Donetsk, with the Blues said to be seriously considering an offer.

That suggests Pochettino has got his wish, though 21-year-old Trubin – valued at £17m by Football Observatory – could well rival Kepa for a starting spot as early as this coming season should he join.

Who is Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin?

Trubin led the way for clean sheets in the Ukrainian Premier League last season with 14, one more than Yevhenii Volynets of FK Kolos, as Shakhtar were crowned champions with the best defensive record in the division.

Despite his young age, Trubin has already played 94 times for Shakhtar, including 17 appearances in the Champions League.

It is on the continent he has really caught the eye, right from the moment he made a wonder save to deny Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku – a possible future Chelsea team-mate – from a free-kick as a 19-year-old in 2020.

Coincidentally, the stopper has silenced Lukaku on two occasions, keeping clean sheets in both of his meetings with Inter that season.

Indeed, the Ukrainian slowly built up a showreel of impressive stops and has earned widespread praise, with football writer Josh Bunting describing him as "superb" for such a young 'keeper, one who is capable of coming out for crosses as well as making huge saves.

Trubin would have to bide his time if he is recruited by Chelsea, but there is every chance he will succeed Kepa one day soon, making it a smart piece of business from the Blues' perspective.

Across a very similar number of Champions League appearances (17 for Kepa, 14 for Trubin), the Shakhtar goalkeeper has a better save percentage (71.3% v 67.2%), as per FBref, and also completes more passes per 90 minutes (29.2 v 22.5).

Kepa does come out on top in terms of pass-completion percentage (76 v 71.8), but the numbers are certainly positive from Trubin's perspective so early in his career.

As he showed last season when making the fourth-most saves of anyone in the Champions League, Trubin is a goalkeeper that can stand up to most tests, the next of which could see him rival Kepa to become Pochettino's number one at Stamford Bridge.

Mount put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Old Trafford on Wednesday, with his move officially being confirmed by Man United following weeks of speculation.

The England international will wear the famous number 7 shirt and a transfer has set the Red Devils back £60m. He could be the first of many through the door this summer, with an update emerging from Old Trafford.

The Daily Mail shared a transfer story in the last 48 hours, looking at the Red Devils and Ten Hag’s plans after bringing in Mount. The report states that Man United are still after a new goalkeeper and centre-forward ahead of the new season.

When it comes to a new ‘keeper, they say that David de Gea, who is now out of contract at Old Trafford, could still sign new terms in Manchester, although it would be on a reduced salary.

A brand new shot-stopper who is more comfortable with the ball at his feet is of interest to Ten Hag, though, with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana a target. Man United have already made a £34m offer for the Cameroon international, but the Serie A side want around £45m, which could result in Brighton’s Robert Sanchez being pursued as he is a cheaper alternative at £30m. Two more goalkeepers named as potential options are Feyenoord's Justin Bijlow and Eintracht Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp.

When it comes to a marquee forward addition, Tottenham's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen appear to be out of reach due to their £100m+ asking prices.

Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani are two targets who are more in United’s price range, with Ten Hag wanting a new forward signed in time for pre-season training.

Who could leave Man United?

There could be a number of new arrivals in Manchester, however, there could also be plenty of departures from Old Trafford.

Previous reports suggested that the Red Devils and Ten Hag could move on up to 13 players this summer, including the likes of Jadon Sancho, Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial.

Fred, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay, Dean Henderson, Anthony Elanga could also seal exits, whereas Alex Telles, Eric Bailly and Brandon Williams are likely to be moved on.

In total, United could bring in up to £100m when it comes to player sales, which would help Ten Hag as the club’s transfer budget this summer is a total of £120m, half of which has been spent on Mount.

Alongside all the incomings and outgoings, there is the matter of an Old Trafford takeover needing to be finalised as well. Reports from Qatar have claimed that Sheikh Jassim could be closing in on a full takeover from the Glazers ahead of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, so there is plenty that needs to happen off the pitch over the coming weeks ahead of the new season, where United will look to continue to head in the right direction under Ten Hag.

The Supreme Court has asked the BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) to release funds to the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) one day before the start of the fourth Test between India and Australia in Dharamsala. Although the court’s record of proceedings did not specify the amount, reports suggested disbursements to the tune of INR 2.5 crore were instructed. In addition, the court asked the CoA to release funds to the state associations of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Jharkhand, which hosted the first three Tests of the ongoing series in accordance with the terms of the contract.”It is directed that the BCCI shall honour the contractual commitments postulated in the contract so that there is no impediments in holding the Test match,” the Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice Dipak Mishra and comprising Justices AM Khanvilkar and DY Chandrachud, was quoted as saying by PTI.In its second status report last week, the CoA had pointed to the HPCA’s “intransigence” and sought the Supreme Court’s immediate interference to ensure the smooth conduct of the final Test between India and Australia, as well as the IPL. According to the CoA, the HPCA had asked the BCCI to release funds to conduct the fourth Test despite not having complied with the court’s twin orders last October.Through two separate orders, the court had made it clear that the BCCI “cease and desist” from disbursing funds to the state associations until they submit a written undertaking agreeing to adopt the Lodha Committee’s recommendations. In addition, the CoA said the HPCA had sufficient financial reserves for the Test match to go on unhindered.According to the CoA, the HPCA had about INR 6.27 crore as savings on March 31, 2016. Also, an amount of approximately INR 59.44 crore was transferred by the BCCI to the HPCA account between April and October last year, not including the INR 16 crore that each state association received from the BCCI towards the cancellation of the Champions League T20.On Friday, however, additional solicitor general Tushar Mehta, appearing for the HPCA, contended that the BCCI owed over INR 8 crore to the HPCA, and was “contractually bound” to release the money. Mehta also pointed out that the HPCA was a registered company under Section 25 of the Companies Act, and that any changes in compliance with the panel’s recommendations could only be undertaken by the general body.With many state associations seeking release of funds for the IPL as well, the bench said the CoA, state associations and franchise owners would have to abide by the terms of their tripartite agreement for the smooth conduct of matches. The CoA had earlier made note of the threat posed by some of the ten state associations set to host the IPL, which starts in under two weeks’ time.The CoA had told the court that the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) had written to the BCCI “more than once” asking for funds to be released to address various payments including the “conduct” of the IPL. Rajkot, where the SCA is headquartered, will play host to Gujarat Lions for five matches.”We have been apprised that the [IPL] matches are going to commence from 5th April, 2017, and there are ten venues in India,” the bench said. “There have to be tripartite contracts some have been entered into, while some shall be entered into in due course. After the contracts are executed, following the principle of parity, BCCI shall also honour the contractual terms. Needless to say, when we say that BCCI shall honour its commitment, there has to be sincere commitment of honouring the terms and conditions of the contract by all the parties to the contract,” it said.According to PTI, the bench also said it would take up other issues raised by Railways, Services and Association of Universities, NCC and other state cricket associations, including HPCA, Cricket Association of Bengal and Maharashtra Cricket Association against the July 18, 2016, order on July 14.

Tensions can boil over for several parties when a player decided to call it quits at a club in the summer transfer window. Usually, it's the fans who take aim at the departing player, with a chorus of boos the next time they witness that departing player take to the field.

Usually, though, those within the club or associated with the club of the departing player get it more. They've experienced enough football to know that players leaving is simply just part of the game. Players arrive, and players move on every summer. Or at the very least, they have the wisdom to hold their peace.

One man who didn't seem to get that memo, however, was Bayern Munich legend Mehmet Scholl, who replied to Lucas Hernandez's farewell post in brutal fashion.

The defender has completed a move from the Bundesliga champions to Paris Saint-Germain, signing a contract until 2028.

Hernandez took to Instagram to post his farewell message, asking fans to "respect" his decision.

In full, when translated it said (via Reddit): "Dear FC Bayern Munich fans, It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from the club today. After careful consideration, I have decided to take on new challenges.

"I would like to thank you for your unwavering support during my time here. The moments shared will forever remain in my memory, as will the trophies won, especially the Champions League I always dreamed of.

"I would like to sincerely thank my teammates, coaching staff, entire club staff, executives and coaches of FC Bayern Munich for their trust and unconditional support at all times. This club has allowed me to grow as a player and as a person, and I am proud to have worn the jersey of one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

"Lastly, I ask you to respect my decision, even though goodbyes are always difficult. "With best regards, Lucas Hernandez"

Clearly not touched by the message, though, Scholl replied by ruthlessly commenting: "I don't believe a word of it. Bye-bye."

It's fair to say that the move did not go down well with the Bayern legend. And he clearly doesn't feel as though Hernandez has shown enough respect for the club with this transfer departure.

Completing a move to PSG for a reported €50m (£42.86m), Hernandez left Bayern for more than his market value, as per Transfermark, which has the defender priced at €45m (£38.58m).

It has not taken the Bavarians long to find a replacement, however – reportedly triggering the release clause of Napoli star Kim-Min jae. The centre-back arrives off the back of an excellent season in Serie A, picking up the Scudetto.

Hernandez, meanwhile, departs having won every trophy there is to win in club football, with the highlight being the Champions League win back in 2020. The victory ironically came against his new club PSG.

Now in the French capital, the defender will be desperate to secure European glory once again, ending PSG's long wait for Champions League victory, in the process.

Despite a certain Bayern Munich legend being far from pleased with his move away, the transfer to the Ligue 1 champions represents an opportunity for Hernandez to add to his ever-growing list of trophy wins.

تلقى نادي الزمالك إخطارًا رسميًا، اليوم الجمعة من الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم “كاف” يفيد بتحديد موعد مباراتي الفريق أمام دريمز الغاني، التي ستجمع بينهما ضمن منافسات بطولة الكونفدرالية الإفريقية.

ويلتقي الزمالك مع دريمز، في دور نصف النهائي، وذلك بعدما تخطى الفريق الغاني عقبة الملعب المالي بنتيجة 3-2 في مجموع مباراتي الذهاب والإياب. موعد مباراتي الزمالك ودريمز الغاني في الكونفدرالية

أكد عبد الواحد السيد مدير الكرة في تصريحات للموقع الرسمي أن الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم حدد السادسة مساء يوم الأحد الموافق 21 أبريل الجاري موعداً لإقامة مباراة الذهاب باستاد القاهرة الدولي.

وأضاف أن مباراة العودة تقرر إقامتها يوم الأحد 28 أبريل في تمام الساعة الرابعة بتوقيت غانا السادسة بتوقيت مصر باستاد بابا يارا في كوماسي.

جدير بالذكر أن الزمالك يستعد لمواجهة الأهلي يوم الإثنين المقبل باستاد القاهرة الدولي، في اللقاء المؤجل من الجولة العاشرة لمسابقة الدوري المصري الممتاز.
