Last week, it was revealed that Aston Villa are interested in signing former West Ham wide man Felipe Anderson, now at Lazio. Anderson is out of contract at the end of the season, which means Villa are free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with his camp.

Juventus are also interested in the Brazilian, but unlike Unai Emery's side, they're not officially allowed to engage his entourage in his negotiations, potentially handing Villa a key advantage. What's more, that's not the only potential Bosman deal under consideration behind the scenes at Villa Park, with another Serie A player on the club's radar.

Villa offered Spinazzola deal

According to Calciomercato, translated by Sport Witness, the agent of Leonardo Spinazzola has been in touch "in recent days" to offer his client to Aston Villa. The Premier League high-flyers are "sceptical" as it stands, but it sounds like they're at least weighing up the merits of recruiting the Roma man, and would be willing to do a deal if they can get him without a transfer fee.

Ex-Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring the former Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu to the Stadio Olimpico, but he can't do that until he frees up space in the squad as Roma face "stringent Financial Fair Play requirements".

That's why the Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto is working with both Spinazzola and Renato Sanches to try and find acceptable suitors. The former has "no shortage of admirers" in Saudi Arabia, but he has little interest in moving away from European football, so you'd think Villa would be his preference.

Spinazzola's memorable Euro 2020 campaign

Left-back Spinazzola is probably best known on these shores for his performances for Italy during the last European Championships. He suffered an Achilles tendon rupture that ruled him out of the semifinal and the final against England, which Italy eventually won of course, but he'd been instrumental in getting them to that stage, starting four of their five games. Indeed, despite missing the business end of the tournament, he was named in the competition's best XI.

The stats suggest that inclusion was fair. Among all defenders involved, only Spain's Jordi Alba (21) recorded more shot creating-actions, only Denmark's Joakim Maehle carried the ball into the penalty more times (16 vs eight), and Spinazzola also ranked fifth in his position for touches in the area (15). This shows that he was a huge part of Italy's attacking threat.

The injury he sustained that summer kept him out until April 2022, and he's struggled to sustain his fitness since, suffering five separate lay-offs, albeit all short-term. That's part of the reason why he remains on 24 caps for Italy even at 30 years of age. Still, journalist Rahman Osman says he's a "delight" to watch when healthy, and he's maintained decent numbers despite being in and out of the team.

He notched eight direct goal contributions in 40 appearances last season, including three in the Europa League knockout stages as Roma reached the final, and has added four more in his 17 outings this term.

While Spinazzola's age and injury record do undoubtedly count against him, the gamble would be limited because Villa wouldn't be paying a penny in transfer fees. You could argue that, with Lucas Digne and Alex Moreno already in the squad, Villa should prioritise other areas, but the offer from the player's agent should still be of interest.

A proposta flexível deixou a emissora de Silvio Santos em vantagem e mais próxima de um acordo. Explica-se: a possibilidade de explorar outras receitas, de fato, agradou aos clubes. A novidade foi vista como fator positivo.

A Globo, na sua avaliação, não entendia que o Carioca pudesse ter o modelo fragmentado. A proposta final enviada pela emissora foi de R$ 45 milhões para concentrar todos os direitos, algo que foi recusado por Ferj e clubes.

Clubes e Ferj optam pelo fatiamento dos direitos

A assinatura de contrato com a Record, portanto, dará aos clubes a possibilidade de explorar um novo modelo de negócio, algo que era do interesse das partes. Os clubes acreditam que podem aumentar o faturamento com a fragmentação dos direitos.

Além da transmissão na TV aberta, o Carioca também terá pay-per-view próprio na Claro-Net, Vivo e Sky. O valor será fatiado entre os clubes conforme a demanda de cada torcida. A federação e os clubes ficaram com os direitos (referentes a 53% das assinaturas).

Como é um projeto montado do zero e com inovações, há um otimismo entre os envolvidos para que o produto se desenvolva e aumente o montante final. Inicialmente, a expectativa é alcançar R$ 80 milhões com a arrecadação. Nesta conta, soma-se os valores em OTT, TV aberta e propriedades comerciais. É o número, hoje, projetado.

Aposta no ambiente digital

O Carioca também deverá ser exibido no streaming. Fontes relataram ao L! que Facebook e Youtube disputam para ser a plataforma de transmissões. Será mais um complemento na cobertura, que terá forte apelo no ambiente digital.

A coordenação do projeto ficará a cargo de uma empresa de multimídia. Marcelo de Campos Pinto, Raul Costa Jr e Fernando Ferreira são os nomes que encabeçam a nova empresa.

If the secret of success in cricket is timing, Dominic Sibley should go a long way in the game.Up until last September, he endured a run of form so wretched that Warwickshire were desperately close to dropping him. His first 11 innings of the 2018 first-class season had produced only one score above 20 and none of 50. After 20 innings, he had reached 30 only three times and had suffered 11 single-figure scores.But he resumes on the third day of this match, requiring just 40 more runs to record a fifth century in a fifth successive first-class match. At a time when England are searching for a new top-order, that is a run of form that may prove hard to ignore.That’s not to say that Sibley is ready for Test cricket at this stage. The first three centuries in that sequence – at the end of last season – were made in Division Two of the County Championship (against Leicestershire, Sussex, and Kent respectively), while the next was made against a fine attack, but on a flat track, in the match against the MCC in Dubai. This was the first innings of that run in Division One of the Championship. But the first Test of the summer – against Ireland – is not until late July. By then, Sibley and co. should have had the chance to play 10 Championship games. If the avalanche of runs continues, he must have a chance of selection.Warwickshire were grateful for his contribution here. After Kent had set a challenging first-innings total of over 500, Warwickshire had slipped to 84 for 3 by the time Adam Hose joined Sibley in a fourth-wicket stand that is currently worth 52. Coming into this game with a previous first-class best of 26, he produced a high-class innings to justify his selection. While he was dropped once – on 82, Sibley at slip spurning a third chance of the innings off the deserving Ryan Sidebottom – he displayed some sparkling strokeplay to underline his potential.Kent are spoiled for choice when it comes to keepers. Not only do they have Sam Billings, who is currently at the IPL, but they have Adam Rouse and Jordan Cox, too. While Billings is pretty much certain to reclaim the gloves when he returns, both Rouse and Cox scored centuries for the seconds in recent days and Robinson is a good enough batsman to have played as a specialist in a few games at the end of last year. You don’t have to be a genius to work out that at least one of them may have to leave to pursue their career and, while it is Robinson who is out of contract at the end of the season – Warwickshire actually made an approach for him last year – it is Rouse who is currently attracting the interest. Sussex are understood to be one of the interested clubs.”It was just relief when I got to the century, just to have proved to myself that I can do it,” Robinson said. “It was a nice occasion and to have dad here as well made it extra special. It is a lovely pitch to bat on.”While Henry Brookes struck early on the second morning – Darren Stevens leg before leaving one – Robinson’s strokeplay ensured Kent not only full batting bonus points but an all-but-impregnable match position. The Gers still have a number of weeks to conduct some important transfer business this month, with Fabio Silva already arriving at the club on loan from Premier League side Wolves. Shankland's head could potentially be turned by a switch to Ibrox midway through the campaign, and while talks have appeared to have cooled lately, a fresh update suggests that the transfer could be back on the cards.

According to Football Insider, Rangers are now back working on a deal to bring Shankland to Ibrox this month, having pulled out of signing Batshuayi, and the Scot is even keen on joining.

Shankland is someone who could be a game-changer of a signing in the Scottish Premiership title race this season, given the firepower he would suddenly give Rangers between now and May, and beyond for that matter.

His stats this season show what a potent player he is, and he could flourish even more playing alongside superior players than at Hearts, going up a level in his game. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed him as a "fantastic finisher", and the former Liverpool boss could be concerned at the prospect of the Gers snapping him up.

O Maior Campeão Nacional treina ainda neste sábado, às 16h, antes de ir a campo no domingo (07), às 18h (horário de Brasília), no Allianz Parque, necessitando apenas de um empate para ficar com a taça da Copa do Brasil e se tornar tetracampeão da competição.

أعلن الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة اليد، مشاركة ناديي الأهلي والزمالك، في بطولة إفريقيا للأندية الأبطال لكرة اليد “رجال”، القادمة.

ومن المقرر أن تقام بطولة إفريقيا للأندية لكرة اليد، في المغرب، خلال الفترة 10 حتى 19 أكتوبر 2024. 

كما تأكد مشاركة فريق السيدات بالنادي الأهلي بالبطولة ذاتها.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن ناديي الأهلي والزمالك يستعدان في الفترة الحالية للمشاركة في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية التي تقام في مصر في الفترة بين 27 سبتمبر وحتى 3 أكتوبر من العام الجاري.

ويشارك الأهلي، في البطولة بصفته حامل لقب كأس السوبر الإفريقي، بينما الزمالك ممثلًا عن البلد المضيف.
