Um dos jogadores que mais entraram em campo pelo Verdão em 2022, Wesley completou sua 25 partida no ano, igualando os números de Raphael Veiga e Rony, que levam vantagem nos minutos, já que são titulares. Dessa forma, é possível perceber que o camisa 11 é uma das peças de confiança do técnico português. Mesmo sendo reserva, é um atleta que conta com a admiração da comissão.

No entanto, diante do Independiente Petrolero-BOL, na última terça-feira, pela Libertadores, o jovem desagradou Abel Ferreira, que expôs o descontentamento em entrevista coletiva após o jogo, principalmente por conta de um gol que Wesley “tirou” de Zé Rafael, ao tocar a bola antes de ela ultrapassar a linha. Como Wesley tem entrado sempre na mesma função que Gabriel Veron vinha fazendo pelo lado esquerdo do setor ofensivo, ele desponta como um dos favoritos a jogar por ali, o que seria uma nova chance de jogar como titular, com os companheiros titulares, para mostrar que entendeu o recado passado por Abel Ferreira.

Nas imagens do treino da última quinta-feira, foi possível ver o atacante conversando particularmente com o treinador português, o que leva a crer que ele pode mesmo ser a opção e que há uma preocupação em tratar os problemas diretamente com os atletas.

Everton could agree a deal to sign a striker who has been described as a “diamond” to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to former scout Bryan King.

Calvert-Lewin suffers injury setback

Calvert-Lewin had been showing signs of improvement since the return of David Moyes, scoring in the 3-2 victory against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, but the striker has now suffered yet another injury setback.

The Liverpool Echo’s Ian Croll has expressed his concern about the forward’s injury, which is set to keep him sidelined until the end of next month.

There have been widespread rumours about Beto’s future at Goodison Park, with the striker at one point keen on a move to Italy, but the Toffees may be forced to persist with the 26-year-old if they are unable to sign another player before the deadline.

Moyes is considering his options, with Graeme Bailey revealing there is interest in Rangers striker Hamza Igamane, and there has now been another update on the potential move. In an interview with Goodison News, former scout turned pundit Bryan King has now revealed that a deal to sign Igamane could be there to be done for Everton before the deadline.

King said: “If they have got the money, a deal could be agreed. I don’t think Igamane would be cheap. However, now that Calvert-Lewin is injured, I imagine that Everton will be looking to get that deal across the line.”

But it’s difficult for the two sides to gain a lot from the experience on Friday, other than gleaning some insight into how to set up tactically for a rain-shortened game in the World Cup.India selected the extra batter, but Rishabh Pant was not even required, and they only needed four specialist bowlers and Hardik Pandya in an eight-over game, a luxury they can’t afford in a normal 20-overs-a-side contest. The death-overs bowling remains a question mark, although Jasprit Bumrah’s return was a welcome one, and he bowled superbly.Australia are truly experimenting on this tour with so many of their first-choice players missing. They went even further than usual in Nagpur, opting for an extra bowler for the first time since 2021, just to trial something in case the pitch played differently than expected. It did leave them a touch light on batting, though, when Axar ripped through Glenn Maxwell and Tim David.But Matthew Wade’s incredible form and Aaron Finch finding some runs are positive signs. Adam Zampa also bowled an outstanding spell to once again prove himself as one of the best legspinners in T20 cricket.However, like India, Australia have a death-overs problem. That won’t be an issue when he gets to Australia, and slower-ball bouncers and short cutters are usually very effective on the true and dry surfaces there, especially with the large square boundaries at most venues barring Adelaide. But he and India’s management would love a good outing just to elevate the confidence levels and bed down the structure of India’s bowling unit.Whisper it quietly, but is Pat Cummins still a lock-in in Australia’s best T20I bowling unit? Australia’s management are confident he can find his groove given he rarely gets an extended run at T20 cricket because of his Test duties. Conforme o LANCE! revelou, o encontro entre os cartolas dos integrantes do Forte Futebol realizado na quarta-feira (8), na sede da CBF, no Rio de Janeiro (RJ), distanciou ainda mais um entendimento para que a Libra assuma a responsabilidade de organizar o Campeonato Brasileiro.

Os próprios dirigentes admitem isso. Nos bastidores, alguns deles, ouvidos pelo L!, já admitem que os dois grupos formados deverão, nesse primeiro momento, apenas cuidar de negociações publicitárias, como direitos de TV e afins.

– A verdade é que a gente tentou de várias formas (uma aproximação com a Libra). Alguns presidentes do lado de cá tentou contato com o lado de lá. Algumas empresas técnicas que contratamos também buscaram discutir alguns termos e situações, mas infelizmente até o momento não conseguimos formalizar nenhum tipo de encontro. E nós precisamos também caminhar do nosso lado. Nosso grupo quer definir nossa união através da formulação de um estatuto – disse Mário Bittencourt, presidente do Fluminense e um dos líderes do Forte Futebol.

O estatuto deverá, em um primeiro momento, colocar no papel as propostas divergentes da Libra. A principal delas é a divisão de receitas (leia mais abaixo)

– Nós vamos discutir ao longo dos dias o esboço. Estamos discutindo bastante coisa. Vamos definir critérios de como achamos que deve ser feito essa divisão (de receitas). Mas nosso grupo entende que essas discussões sempre devem ser feitas sentadas à mesa e deliberadas por votação, por maioria – completou Bittencourt.

Sem demonstrar pressa, o Forte Futebol descarta que a formalização do grupo seja uma forma de pressionar a Libra. Pelo contrário. Esperam que dessa maneiras a comunicação entre as partes aconteça.

– Precisa acontecer um debate técnico sobre aquilo que um grupo acredita, o outro acredita, e encontrar um denominador comum a todos, uma divisão de receitas mais justa e igualitária no futebol brasileiro – definiu o mandatário do Flu.

Pelo lado da Libra, o sentimento continua sendo o da espera. Ao L!, Leila Pereira, presidente do Palmeiras e uma das líderes do grupo, reiterou que ainda acredita na união, mas não comentou as afirmações da Forte Futebol.

– Torço pela união de todos os clubes. Assim o futebol brasileiro poderá se fortalecer cada vez mais – disse a mandatária alviverde.

Nos bastidores, conforme o L! apurou, Amazon e Globo, dobradinha que já atua na Copa do Brasil, por exemplo, estariam de olho na Libra e demonstraram interesse na compra conjunta dos direitos.

Há ainda questões como direitos ao nome do torneio, publicidade estática nos campos de jogo, exploração da marca e TV no exterior, que aumentaria o faturamento. Segundo estudos da Liga, o Brasil tem potencial para pelo menos se igualar à França, o que deixaria o país entre as dez ligas mais valiosas do mundo.

O QUE A LIBRA DEFINIU

Em seu estatuto, a Liga definiu a divisão de 40% da receita igualmente entre todos os participantes da competição, 30% de variável por performance e 30% por engajamento.

Esse último item é definido por critérios como média de público no estádio, base de assinantes de pay-per-view, número de seguidores e engajamento em redes sociais, audiência na televisão aberta e tamanho da torcida.

FUTEBOL FORTE DISCORDA

O grupo inicialmente formado apenas pelos emergentes da Série A aponta os critérios como os principais motivos pelas suas insatisfações. Segundo eles, a própria Libra detalha que a diferença entre o campeão brasileiro e o lanterna da competição, por essa divisão, geraria um abismo de até 6,5 vezes na receita de cada um dos clubes.

O Futebol Forte quer uma cópia da divisão adotada na Premier League, da Inglaterra: 50% divididos igualmente, 25% por performance e 25% da receita nos critérios de engajamento, que poderia ser rediscutida adiante. Segundo eles, isso faria cair a diferença entre primeiro e último para 3,5 vezes, valor considerado mais justo.

SÉRIE B

A divergência atingiu a segunda divisão. Isso porque a Libra definiu em seu estatuto o repasse de 15% das receitas para a competição, podendo chegar a 20% caso os grandes caiam. Mas os clubes querem mais.

A proposta dos integrantes da Série B é de repasse de 25%. A proposta teve o apoio do Futebol Forte, que com isso angariou a adesão de 12 participantes da Segundona.

CONCORDÂNCIA

Nem todos os pontos entre Libra e Futebol Forte são de discórdia. Ambos aprovam, por exemplo, cláusulas de fair play financeiro colocadas no estatuto.

O trecho, inclusive, determinará punição aos clubes que infringirem a regra. É possível que haja perda de pontos, rebaixamento, impedimento de registro de atletas e até sanções financeiras aos que gastarem mais que o permitido pelo regulamento da competição.

نشر نادي ليفربول حوارًا مميزًا مع النجم المصري محمد صلاح بعد تتويجه بجائزة رابطة كتاب كرة القدم، كأفضل لاعب في إنجلترا، للمرة الثالثة في مسيرته المهنية.

وتسلم محمد صلاح تلك الجائزة المرموقة، مساء أمس، بعدما قدم موسمًا مميزًا حيث سجل 33 هدفًا وصنع 23 في مختلف المسابقات، في 51 مباراة.

وتحصل محمد صلاح على الجائزة المذكورة بعدما حصد أعلى نسبة تصويت والتي بلغت 90%، محققًا أكبر فارق نقاط في ذلك التصويت في الجائزة.

وقال محمد صلاح، في تصريحاته التي نشرها الموقع الرسمي للنادي: “الفوز بتلك الجائزة يعني لي الكثير، وخاصة مع مساعدة الفريق على الفوز ببطولة كبرى”.

وأضاف: “أعتقد أنها المرة الأولى في مسيرتي التي أفوز بتلك الجائزة مع تحقيق بطولة كبرى مع الفريق، لهذا السبب هو أمر مميز للغاية”.

ويُعد محمد صلاح اللاعب الوحيد الذي فاز بتلك الجائزة ثلاث مرات في مسيرته، بالتساوي مع تييري هنري.

وعن ذلك، قال محمد صلاح: “أجل، أعرف هذا! أحب دائمًا تحفيز نفسي وأحاول دائمًا إيجاد ما يدفعني للأمام خلال الموسم، الجوائز الفردية مهمة دائمًا بالنسبة لي”.

وشدد: “لكن الأهم، وأعتقد أن الناس يعلمون ذلك، هو أن فوزنا بالدوري الإنجليزي هو أفضل لحظة لي في النادي، كما أعتقد أنه إذا لم أقدم موسمًا رائعًا، فسيكون من الصعب دائمًا الفوز بأي شيء”.

واسترسل: “أحاول دائمًا أن أكون في حالة بدنية وذهنية جيدة من أجل مساعدة الفريق على الفوز بالبطولات”.

واعترف: “عندما أدركت خلال فوزي بالجائزة للمرة الثانية أن تييري هنري فاز بها 3 مرات، قلت لنفسي (حسنًا، سأسعى للفوز بها للمرة الثالثة)، أنا هنا لعامين آخرين (بعد تجديد عقده حتى 2027)، أتمنى الفوز بها مجددًا”.

وفيما يخص طموحه للفوز بجائزة الكرة الذهبية، قال: “أعتقد أن الفوز بها يعني لي وللناس الكثير، لكن كما قلت، لقد قدمت موسمًا رائعًا، وإن فزت بها، لا بأس، وإن لم يحدث، لا شيء في يدي”.

وأوضح: “أبذل قصارى جهدي خلال الموسم، فزت بالدوري الإنجليزي من خلال موسم رائع، حيث قدمت هذا العدد من الأهداف والتمريرات الحاسمة، آمل أن يساعدني ذلك، سنرى في النهاية”.

وعن أيهما الأهم بالنسبة له، الأهداف أم التمريرات الحاسمة، في إطار سعيه لتحطيم المزيد من الأرقام القياسية في الدوري الإنجليزي، قال: “الأمر يتعلق بتحطيم الأرقام في الدوري الإنجليزي، ويأتي ذلك في موسم ساعدت فيه الفريق على الفوز بالبطولة”.

واستأنف: “هذا أمر مميز للغاية لأنني مررت بذلك كذلك في موسمي الأولى، ربما سجلت فيه أهدافًا أكثر من ذلك، ولكن لم تكن التمريرات الحاسمة بنفس القدر، بالنسبة لي هذا الموسم أكثر تميزًا، لأنه عندما يتعلق الأمر بالدوري الإنجليزي، يكون الأمر مميزًا دائمًا عندما يفوز الفريق بشيء ما، ويكون لديك كذلك موسم مذهل وتأثير كبير على الفريق، لا شيء يضاهي ذلك”.

وعن أبرز ما حققه حتى الآن في مسيرته مع ليفربول، قال: “أستمتع بكل لحظة هنا، قضيت سنوات مذهلة مع كلوب، والآن، لا يمكنني وصف الأمر بجملة واحدة، لكن رحلتي هنا مذهلة”.

وعن إمكانية أن يكون موسم 2024/25 هو الأعظم في مسيرته، قال: “في رأيي نعم، لأنه عندما فزنا بالألقاب الأخرى، لم أكن مشاركًا في الأمر كما هو الحال الآن”.

واستدرك: “كانت لدي أرقامي، لا أريد أن أبدو مغرورًا لكن أرقامي دائمًا ما تكون الأعلى في الفريق، لكن هذا الموسم كان مميزًا للغاية، لأن الأرقام أعلى بكثير من أي فريق في الدوري الإنجليزي، لهذا السبب سيظل هذا الموسم مميزًا بالنسبة لي، كل ما فكرت به بعد عودتي من العطلة الصيف الماضي هو الفوز بالدوري الإنجليزي مع النادي وجعله يفوز به”.

وأشار: “تحدثت مع المدرب، أخبرته – وكنت صريحًا جدًا معه – أنت تريد الفوز بالدوري الإنجليزي، لكن يجب أن أشعر براحة تامة مع أسلوب لعبنا، كان صريحًا جدًا وتبادلنا بعض الأحاديث الصريحة”.

وعما قاله سلوت، أوضح: “أخبرني (حسنًا، سأخرج أفضل ما لديك، سأضعك في موقف تشعر فيه بالراحة التامة، لكنني أحتاج منك أن تقدم لي أداءً جيدًا)، لقد فعلت ذلك ببراعة وفي النهاية فزنا بالدوري الإنجليزي، لهذا السبب كان الأمر مميزًا للغاية، لأنك تأتي بطموح كبير مع مدرب جديد، وتريد الفوز بكل بساطة بكل ما تريده”.

واعترف: “لكنني أعتقد، لأكون صريحًا معك، لم أحلم حتى بخوض هذا الموسم الرائع، حيث تسجيل الأهداف في كل مباراة وتقديم التمريرات الحاسمة، وتحطيم جميع الأرقام القياسية، إنه أمر لا يُصدق”.

وعن أهمية التتويج بلقب الدوري الإنجليزي، قال: “أعلم مدى أهمية ذلك لـ مانشستر سيتي، ولكن في إطار حقبة جديدة، أردت إثبات أنني ما زلت قادرًا على تحقيق ذلك الآن، ومع مدرب مختلف ولاعبين مختلفين، أردت فقط إثبات إنني ما زلت قادرًا على فعل ذلك، تحدثت مع فان دايك وروبرتسون وأليسون لأنهم يدريون أهمية ذلك بالنسبة لي، وكذلك أرنولد، لأنه كان بمثابة إثبات للجميع أنني أستطيع تحقيق ذلك بدون أي لاعب آخر أو مدرب من الماضي، لقد أثبتنا ذلك جميعًا، ليس أنا فقط، ولكن أنا أتحدث عن نفسي الآن، هذا يعني الكثير”.

وفيما يخص علاقته بجماهير ليفربول: “يعرفون كم أحب المدينة وكم أحب النادي، منحت كل ما في وسعي منذ أن جئت إلى هنا، في كل مباراة وفي كل مرة أخطو فيها إلى الملعب، إنهم يعرفون مدى أهمية ذلك بالنسبة لي، ولهذا السبب هو مميز للغاية”.

كما تطرق للحديث عن أحلامه وتوقعاته للعامين المقبلين، حيث قال: “الأمر يتعلق فقط بالفوز بالدوري الإنجليزي ودوري أبطال أوروبا”.

وأخيرًا عن رغبته في تحقيق المزيد من الأرقام القياسية والجوائز الفردية، قال: “أتمنى ذلك! كل شيء يسير على ما يرام، عندما يفوز الفريق بألقاب، كما حدث هذا العام، يصبح الفوز بالجوائز الفردية أسهل”.

Arsenal’s forward line has been one of the most potent in the Premier League throughout 2024/25, scoring 49 times in just 24 matches – the second most of any side in the division.

Such a record has been made all the more impressive considering that not one player in the current Gunners first-team squad has registered double figures for league goals this campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side have had 14 different goalscorers, the most of any side, but have since been targeting attacking reinforcements this month to try and give them a boost in their pursuit of current leaders Liverpool.

Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko have been the two players continuously linked with a move to the Emirates, but with just a handful of hours remaining, it looks unlikely that any move will be done in time for either targets.

As a result, the summer may be their best bet to try and further bolster the attacking ranks, with one player already touted with a switch to North London in the near future.

Arsenal could land leading Premier League attacker

While a deadline day addition for Arteta is now unlikely, according to The Sun, Arsenal are battling Newcastle United ahead of a potential summer move to land Bournemouth star Justin Kluivert after his impressive form throughout 2024/25.

The Dutchman has enjoyed the best season of his professional career to date, registering 11 goals and four assists in 23 outings – including a hat-trick against the Magpies back in January.

The report claims that Arteta has been closely monitoring the 25-year-old after his impressive form, but would face serious competition from Eddie Howe’s side.

He could feature in a variety of roles should he end up making the move to North London, potentially operating in the number 10 role, along with either wide position or as a central striker – offering Arteta added strength in depth.

It could also allow Kluivert to follow in the footsteps of one player who captured the hearts of many during his own time as a player at the Emirates Stadium.

Why Kluivert could be Arsenal’s next Robin van Persie

Robin van Persie joined Arsenal way back in the summer of 2004 from Dutch side Feyenoord, with many supporters not knowing what to expect after joining at the tender age of 20.

However, he quickly made himself a fan favourite in North London, producing countless moments of magic, despite originally joining as a winger, before eventually shifting into a central role – similar to that of Kluivert in 2024/25.

Van Persie would go on to score 124 times in 252 appearances for the Gunners, including various memorable strikes such as his infamous volleys against Charlton Athletic and Everton at various stages of his career.

He infuriated the fanbase after swapping the Emirates for Old Trafford in 2012, joining Manchester United, but you can’t take away the impact he had as a player during his time under Arsène Wenger.

Fast-forward to the present day, the club have the opportunity to land another version of the Dutch star, with compatriot Kluivert, possessing similar traits – often able to create an opportunity out of nothing for himself or his teammates.

The 25-year-old, who’s previously been dubbed as “world-class” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has scored countless goals this campaign, including his long-range strike against Newcastle – with his technique similar to that of Van Persie.

He’s also averaged 1.2 successful dribbles per 90 in the Premier League this season, along with 6.2 touches in the opposition box per game – showcasing the threat he holds within attacking areas.

It’s unclear how much the Cherries would demand to part ways with their star attacker, but it’s evident that he has the skill set to massively add to Arteta’s already potent attack.

If he was to be half as good as Van Persie during his own time as a player in North London, it would be a deal worth completing – having the opportunity to become a fan-favourite and play a crucial role in ending their wait for a league triumph.
