West Ham’s performance in their 3-2 loss against Spurs on Saturday was described as a “disgrace” by Roy Keane on Sky Sports, and many fans must be thinking the same thing. The two Hammers’ goals that came when Spurs were 3-0 up papered over the cracks in a showing that won’t do Manuel Pellegrini any favours.

Football London didn’t rate a single player over 6/10, and even handed two 2/10s to “nervy” goalkeeper Roberto and “weak” Sebastien Haller. Pellegrini is now without a win in eight games across all competitions, and @ExWHUemployee on Twitter has claimed Sean Dyche has approached the Hammers about becoming their next manager.

West Ham news aggregator West Ham Fan Zone posted the news to their followers on Twitter, and the idea of Dyche taking over seemed to go down really well. The vast majority of fans who replied to the tweet thought it’d be a great appointment for the club, even if he’s not a big name like Manuel Pellegrini was when he joined.

Hatem Ben Arfa enjoyed some brilliant moments in his time at St.James’ Park and fans have been reacting to a brilliant goal he scored to win a game against Fulham late on in 2013.

The Frenchman scored many wonder goals during his spell in the north-east and he is remembered fondly by many as a result, with strikes against Aston Villa and Bolton particularly standing out – the latter his brilliant run from the halfway line before finding the bottom corner.

However, not everyone remembers the winger in the same manner, with some believing he failed to deliver on a regular basis, and fell beneath the standards of world-class which he showed on occasion.

Despite that, there is a feeling that there isn’t a player like him in the current squad, and a sense that most fans would take him ahead of Miguel Almiron, who is yet to reach the same level as the Frenchman in a Magpies’ shirt.

As a result, there is still a lot of love for the 32-year-old. Here’s some of the reaction.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been raving over Mateusz Bogusz after the young Polish midfielder netted a delightful free-kick for the U23s against Sheffield United on Friday.

The above clip tells you all you need to know as it’s clear that any praise he’s received from the Elland Road faithful is more than warranted.

Words don’t really do it justice, but if that technique is telling of what type of player Bogusz will develop into, then United may have an exceptional talent on their hands.

Supporters seem to really rate the teenager as some called for him to get a chance in the first-team while on fan compared him to a young John Sheridan.

Whether or not Bogusz gets a run in the senior squad in the near future remains to be seen, but the Pole certainly looks as if he could develop into a supremely talented player in the not so distant future.

وأتم: “لم نستقر على ملف المشرف على الكرة وزيارة إبراهيم عبد الله لتقديم التهنئة للمجلس، لأنه لم يكن موجودًا في جلسة الوزير”.

علق كريم حسن شحاتة المدير الرياضي بنادي البنك الأهلي، على واقعة لاعب الفريق محمود قاعود خلال مباراة سموحة التي أقيمت اليوم الأربعاء.

وشهدت مباراة البنك الأهلي وسموحة، التي انتهت بالتعادل 2-2، اليوم الأربعاء، ضمن منافسات الدوري المصري الممتاز، رفض محمود قاعود التغيير خلال اللقاء فى الدقيقة 62.

وزاد قاعود الأمر بتوجيه بعض الإشارات للجهاز الفني، ورفض الخروج.

وقال كريم خلال تصريحات عبر برنامج “ملعب البلدوزر” على قناة “الشمس”: “محمود قاعود من الشخصيات الجميلة جدًا، وأعرفه منذ تواجده في إنبي، مصدوم من فعلته، حتى المدرب خالد جلال بعد المباراة قال إنه لم يتخيل ذلك منه”.

وأضاف: “الكل يعاني من الشد العصبي ويريد أن يحقق المكسب، كان موقف خاطيء من اللاعب، ويجب أن يستمع لتعليمات المدير الفني بدون مناقشة”.

وكان خالد جلال قد قرر إيقاف محمود قاعود لأجل غير مسمى وإحالته للتحقيق، بالإضافة إلى تدريبه منفردًا وتغريمه 150 ألف جنيه.

It was an assured display, in the end, from Liverpool against RB Salzburg on Tuesday.

The first half was a bit of a struggle for the Reds. The Austrian side took the game to their opponents and managed six shots on target. Fortunately, they couldn’t bury any of those many chances they had. After the break, Liverpool took control, and once Naby Keita had opened the scoring, there was only ever going to be one winner.

This was only the Senegal international’s sixth start of the season, and he has been given the chance to be included in the first XI in both of the last two fixtures. This has come about largely due to Fabinho’s injury, and it is an opportunity the 24-year-old has grabbed with both hands. By netting in each of those two clashes, whilst also providing an assist, Jurgen Klopp may have found an extra weapon to his arsenal: an attacking threat from the middle of the park.

He is not blessed with goals in midfield. Between them, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum have nine goals between them this campaign, and they have played 70 times between them already. Keita, meanwhile, has two in six starts, which obviously represents a far better ratio than any of those previously mentioned.

Wijnaldum’s lack of attacking threat is particularly interesting. For his country, the Netherlands international is fantastic in front of goal – he was their top goalscorer in Euro 2020 qualifying with eight strikes – and some fans have begged Klopp to use him in a more offensive role. However, he has just three goals in all competitions this term to date, which is just one more than the former RB Leipzig man despite him having started 13 more matches.

Keita may just be the player people have been wanting the 29-year-old to be. Even in those few appearances, it is already clear the Reds’ number eight offers far more going forward. In the Champions League, for example, he has averaged 2.3 shots per game, one key pass and 2.8 dribbles. Wijnaldum’s stats in those areas read one, 0.5 and 1.3.

Fabinho’s return should give Klopp a decision to make. Who will drop out of the team to make way for the Brazil international? On current form, it would be impossible to remove Keita. Things can change very quickly in football, but £45m-valued Wijnaldum – as per Transfermarkt – may need to show he can offer the same threat as his midfield rival, or it could be his place that is in danger.

O Coritiba anunciou a demissão de Fábio Matias na noite desta terça-feira (23). Nesta segunda-feira (22), o Coxa foi goleado pelo Santos por 4 a 0, em partida válida pela 17ª rodada da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro.

Ao todo, Fábio Matias teve um aproveitamento de 25% no comando do Coritiba. Foram quatro derrotas, três empates e apenas uma vitória. Além disso, a equipe marcou cinco gols e sofreu 11.

Fábio Matias foi anunciado pelo Coritiba no dia 12 de junho. O técnico deixou o cargo de auxiliar do Botafogo para assumir o Coxa.

O auxiliar técnico Lucas Batista também deixa o Coritiba. Até a chegada de um novo técnico, Guilherme Bossle, do sub-20, assume o cargo de maneira interina.

Hoje, o Coritiba tem 20 pontos e é o 14º colocado na Série B. O Coxa volta a entrar em campo às 17h de sábado (27), quando recebe a Chapecoense, no Couto Pereira.

وتعادل منتخب مصر مع الجابون بهدف لكل منهما، في إطار منافسات الجولة الثانية من التصفيات المؤهلة لكأس العالم 2022.

تابع: “على مصطفى أن يتحلى بالهدوء وعدم الانفعال حتى يسير على الطريق الصحيح، خاصة وأنه ما زال لاعب صغير السن وأمامه مستقبل كبير”.

وواصل: “وضعنا في التصفيات أصبح مقلقًا بسبب الأداء الذى ظهر به المنتخب اليوم، هناك بعض الأخطاء التى ارتكبها حسام البدري في التشكيل، ولا يوجد شكل أو أداء للمنتخب، وغير موفق فى إدارة اللقاء من الناحية الفنية”.
