نفى المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر، كارلوس كيروش، أي تصريحات انتشرت على لسانه بعد مواجهة الكاميرون يوم الخميس الماضي في كأس أمم إفريقيا.

وتلاقى المنتخبان في إطار منافسات نصف نهائي البطولة الإفريقية المُقامة حاليًا في الكاميرون، حيث فازت مصر بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة 3-1.

وتأهل منتخب مصر نتيجة لذلك إلى نهائي بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا لملاقاة منتخب السنغال، مساء اليوم الأحد.

وكتب كيروش عبر حسابه الشخصي بموقع “تويتر” منذ قليل: “من أجل المعرفة العامة، أنا بموجب هذا أنكر جميع التصريحات والتفسيرات الكاذبة والخاطئة التي يتم نشرها نيابة عني”.

وأضاف: “بعد مباراة الكاميرون، التصريحات المنشورة على حسابي الشخصي بموقع تويتر، وفي الصحافة البرتغالية، ومن خلال المسؤول الإعلامي الخاص بي، هي الحقيقية الوحيدة”.

ولم يوضح كيروش أي التصريحات المغلوطة التي يقصدها في تغريدته تلك، حيث انتشرت الكثير من التصريحات المنسوبة إليه عقب تلك المباراة وعلى مدار اليومين الماضيين.

According to an update by Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, as shared by Football Italia, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy could set up a meeting in London with former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as soon as next week.

Spurs have recently been linked with Sarri as a possible candidate to replace under fire boss Jose Mourinho, with recent claims having emerged that the Lilywhites were ‘following’ him (Ciro Venerato).

Now, in a development, La Gazzetta have gone a step further by saying Levy could hold a meeting with the Italian in London imminently and has been targeting him for at least a month.

The former Juventus coach is still ‘under contract’ with the Serie A giants after being sacked almost a year ago – just two weeks after he delivered a Scudetto title.

Spurs, however, are in a ‘crisis’ mode and are giving ‘serious consideration’ to Mourinho’s successor – with this report relaying suggestions he could even be dismissed before the end of the campaign.

Sarri, as a result, has apparently been made aware of this and could meet with Tottenham and Levy next week.

Chelsea star Jorginho is a huge fan of his former manager judging by how he has described working under the 62-year-old, calling him a ‘extraordinary’ and a ‘magnificent coach’ (Football Italia).

He also guided former club Chelsea to a Europa League triumph, but we believe that while he is a credible dark horse, priority should be given to Julian Nagelsmann if Mourinho is in fact relieved of his duties.

The Daily Mail recently claimed that those within Spurs view him as the ‘perfect’ candidate, and it’s hard to disagree with that sentiment given how he has managed to challenge Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga dominance this season with RB Leipzig.

Reservas do Internacional. Titulares do Santos, à exceção de Paulinho. Mas, definitivamente, zebra seria se o Peixe vencesse no Beira-Rio. Assim como foi no primeiro encontro das duas equipes no Brasileirão, o domínio do Colorado prevaleceu na Copa do Brasil. Com gols de Aylon e Sasha, o Inter venceu por 2 a 0 (após perder por 2 a 1 na Vila Belmiro) e avançou para a semifinal.

O Peixe, que já havia sofrido com os reservas do Grêmio no fim de semana, ao empatar em casa pelo Brasileirão, teve dificuldades no ataque e na defesa diante dos suplentes do Internacional. O primeiro gol colorado veio aos nove minutos da primeira etapa. Após cobrança de escanteio, Aylon subiu sem ser incomodado por Luiz Felipe e Thiago Maia e cabeceou tranquilamente, sem chances para Vanderlei.

Depois disso, o Alvinegro teve mais posse de bola, o que não significou domínio da partida.Apesar de ter a bola a todo momento, com os zagueiros adiantados, a maioria dos passes eram no campo de defesa, diante de uma retranca do Inter, que apesar da vantagem, está mais focado no Brasileirão, em que briga para não ser rebaixado.

Os comandados de Celso Roth aproveitaram a exposição da defesa santista e abusaram dos contra-ataques. Fabinho, de longe, assustou Vanderlei, mas chutou para fora.

Já os comandados de Dorival Júnior demonstravam estar consumidos pelo cansaço e viam todas as jogadas serem interrompidas. Ainda assim, o Peixe não abandonou a tática dos toques curtos e de preservar a posse de bola a qualquer custo.

Dorival só foi mexer no time aos 28 minutos da segunda etapa, com a entrada de Longuine na vaga de David Braz.

Na segunda etapa, o Internacional esteve mais perto do que o Santos de chegar ao gol. Em arrancada, Fabinho, que driblou três, deixou Sasha livre, que não teve problemas para vencer Vanderlei.

Ao Santos, fim do dilema sobre qual competição priorizar no ano. Libertadores para o Peixe, só se for via G6, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro.

تواصلت بعثة الأهلي في أبوظبي، مع اللجنة المنظمة لبطولة كأس العالم للأندية؛ لاستبيان الموقف من تذاكر المباراة القادمة التي يخوضها الفريق يوم السبت المقبل لتحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع في البطولة.

ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الأهلي مع الخاسر من مواجهة تشيلسي الإنجليزي والهلال السعودي، لتحديد المركز الثالث في مونديال الأندية.

ووفقًا للموقع الرسمي للأهلي، فإن اللجنة المنظمة ردت في خطاب رسمي على تواصل الأهلي، بأن هناك 5 آلاف تذكرة فقط خاصة بمباراة تحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع تم بيعها من خلال الحجز الإلكتروني لفئات متنوعة وغير محددة، وبعدها تم إغلاق السيستم لحين تحديد الطرف الثاني للمباراة ما بين تشيلسي الإنجليزي والهلال السعودي اللذين يلتقيان اليوم.

وأنه عقب هذه المباراة سيتم فتح باب الحجز الإلكتروني على بقية تذاكر المباراة، لذا على الراغبين من جماهير الأهلي في حضور المباراة لمساندة فريقهم، مراعاة الموعد المحدد لفتح باب الحجز حتى يتمكنوا من الحصول على التذاكر التي تمكنهم من حضور المباراة.

وكان الأهلي تلقى الخسارة من بالميراس البرازيلي بهدفين دون رد، في مواجهة نصف نهائي كأس العالم للأندية.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to Roy Hodgson’s comments on defenders Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins on social media. 

Hodgson was talking to the media ahead of the Eagles’ trip to Leicester City on Monday and had some ‘good news’ to share.

As posted by the club’s official Twitter page, Hodgson said:

“We’ve got a lot of players back which is good news. Mamadou Sakho – even James Tomkins is out there training. So in fact, this is as big a group as we’ve had training for a long time.”

Sakho has missed the majority of the season through injury, with the 31-year-old, who is out of contract at Selhurst Park this summer, making just three Premier League starts.

Tomkins, meanwhile, has also been absent for large parts of the campaign. He’s made just four Premier League appearances from the off this season and hasn’t been in a matchday squad since January.

Palace fans react

As to be expected, the return of Sakho and Tomkins had plenty of Palace fans talking on social media, with fans hoping to end the season on a strong note after it looked like it was going to just peter out following the heavy defeats to Tottenham and Chelsea.

حقق ليفربول الإنجليزي فوزًا مهمًا بثنائية نظيفة على نظيره إنتر ميلان الإيطالي على ملعب جوسيبي مياتسا (سان سيرو)، ضمن ذهاب دور الـ16 من بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

شوط المباراة الأول بدأ مثيرًا من جانب ليفربول وإنتر ميلان، تسديدة أولى في الدقيقة 5 من لاوتارو مارتينيز تمر بجانب القائم الأيسر، يرد محمد صلاح بعدها بـ 3 دقائق يبعدها الدفاع إلى ركنية، ثم تسديدة قوية من ألكانتارا تمر فوق مرمى هندانوفيتش.

رأسية من ساديو ماني في الدقيقة 14 كادت أن يوقع من خلالها على الهدف الأول، لكنها مرت بردًا وسلامًا على مرمى هندانوفيتش مجددًا.

بعد دقيقتين، استلم هاكان تشالهانوجلو تمريرة بريزيتش وسدد صاروخية من داخل منطقة الجزاء، لكن العارضة تنقذ ليفربول وأليسون بيكر من هدف أصحاب الأرض الأول.

الدقيقة 24 كاد ساديو ماني أن يسجل الأول من مقصية رائعة بعد عرضية روبرتسون، لكن كرته هزت الشباك بالفعل ولكن من الخارج.

هدأ إيقاع المباراة في النصف الثاني من الشوط الأول، مابين تبادل الكرات في وسط الملعب والاندفاع البدني، قبل أن ينقذ كوناتي هدفًا من عرضية دومفريس الرائعة، لكنه حوّلها إلى ركنية قبل أن توصل لـ دجيكو في الدقيقة 35.

شوط المباراة الثاني بدأ عكس ما انتهى الأول، فكان إنتر ميلان المبادر بالتهديد، عرضية تلو الأخرى وتسديدة تلو الأخرى، أنقذها فان دايك وكوناتي، أبعدت الخطورة عن مرمى ليفربول.

هدف مؤكد أهدره لاوتارو في الدقيقة 58، عندما فشل في الوصول للكرة بعد عرضية رائعة من بريزيتش.

كلوب تفطن لما يحدث، وتغيير فيرمينو لم يكن كافيًا، ليدفع بالثلاثي لويس دياز وهندرسون وكيتا مكان فابينيو وإيليوت وساديو ماني.

الدقيقة 60 كانت منعرج المباراة، بدخول الثلاثي فقرر دياز أن ينشط ليفربول ويهدر الهدف الأول الدقيقة 63 بعدما أنقذ سكرينيار تسديدته.

بعد 7 دقائق حاول دياز مجددًا، ولكن كرته تمر بعيدة عن مرمى هندانوفيتش.

الدقيقة 70 خرج لاوتارو ودخل سانشيز، وبعد دقيقتين أرسل فيدال عرضية رائعة داخل منطقة الجزاء لـ دجيكو لكن البوسني اختار التصرف الأسوأ، بعدما مرر الكرة بطريقة سيئة للخلف، رغم أنه كان أمام المرمى.

العقاب جاء في الدقيقة 76، من عرضية رائعة تنفيذًا لركنية روبرتسون تجد رأس فيرمينو الذي سجل على يمين الحارس سمير هندانوفيتش.

بريزيتش كاد أن يتعادل في الدقيقة 80، لكن الكرة تمر فوق مرمى أليسون.

 ولأنه رجل المواعيد الكبرى، كان لمحمد صلاح البصمة بالهدف الثاني القاتل بعد عرضية أرنولد يمهدها فان دايك، ويطلب صلاح من كوناتي التوقف، لأنه لها، وبالفعل، كان مو لها وسجل الهدف الثاني لفريقه ف الدقيقة 83.

ظل ليفربول يحافظ على الكرة، وانهار إنتر ميلان واستسلم للأمر الواقع، قبل أن يطلق الحكم صافرة النهاية معلنًا فوز ليفربول 2/0.

ليفربول يكفيه التعادل في مباراة الإياب والتي ستقام 8 مارس المقبل بأي نتيجة، ليتأهل رسميًا إلى دور الثمانية من بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

Liverpool host Newcastle United at Anfield tonight aiming to move back into the top-four.

As it stands, the Reds are two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and with Thomas Tuchel’s men vying with West Ham United this weekend, there is a real opportunity for the Merseysiders to make up ground.

So, how many changes could Jurgen Klopp be tempted to make to the side that drew 1-1 with Leeds United last time out?

We are expecting just two alterations for the visit of the Magpies.

The defence should remain unchanged from the visit to Elland Road. Alisson will of course be between the sticks, whilst full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be deployed in their usual positions.

Ozan Kabak will line up too but he will once again be alongside Fabinho who will deputise in the backline once more in the continued absence of Nathaniel Phillips.

Meanwhile, there should be one slight change in midfield. Having only played on Monday evening, whilst also starting against Aston Villa and Real Madrid, it could be time for James Milner to receive a rest. After all, the veteran midfielder has not started four consecutive league games this season.

He could potentially be replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who appeared as a substitute last time out and will be a more logical option than the only-just fit again Curtis Jones.

He should form a midfield trio with the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara.

Finally, there should also be one switch from Klopp in attack. Roberto Firmino has not scored in the league since late January so should start on the bench. The £49.5m-rated Brazilian should be replaced by Diogo Jota who despite missing training on Thursday is fit to play.

He will be flanked by Sadio Mane – who scored for the first time in the Premier League in nearly three months against Leeds – and Mo Salah.
