If West Ham fail to secure Jesse Lingard’s services on a permanent basis next season, David Moyes might look to sign a replacement for the Manchester United attacker.

Lingard contributed 14 goals in 16 Premier League appearances following his January arrival from United to help the Hammers qualify for Europe for the first time for five years.

But Dean Windass told Football FanCast that Moyes might not have to splash the cash in a bid to replace Lingard.

Step forward Said Benrahma. The Algerian star arrived at the London Stadium on Deadline Day in a £26m deal last October, but generally played a bit-part role in his first campaign as a Premier League player.

Benrahma did chip in with seven assists, bettered only by Aaron Cresswell, but the ex-Brentford forward made just 14 league starts, and scored just the once, although it was a belting equaliser at Brighton last month which rescued a point.

Despite his difficult first 12 months in east London, Windass believes that with Lingard’s future uncertain, this could be Benrahma’s opportunity to step up to the plate.

He exclusively told Football FanCast:

“Benrahma has got a massive season ahead of him, go into that Jesse Lingard role on the left.”

Asked whether he could essentially be Lingard’s replacement, Windass continued: “Yes. £26m, you have got to step up now. And the boy is a talent by the way, don’t get me wrong but that will be his place on the left-hand side now.”

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a new manager target in Julen Lopetegui.

The Lowdown: Fonseca talks

As per BBC Sport, Spurs have opened up talks with Paulo Fonseca over their vacant manager role.

However, the North London club have yet to agree a deal with the 48-year-old, and will be increasingly wary over the situation given that they were in advanced talks with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, before that deal eventually collapsed.

The Latest: Lopetegui eyed

As per Estadio Deportivo, the Lilywhites have also set their sights on appointing Lopetegui as their new coach, although he is not their first option.

Lopetegui has recently renewed his contract at Sevilla until 2024, and is already planning for the new season, but the report claims Spurs are ‘considering’ trying to appoint him anyway.

The news outlet also compares the potential appointment of the 54-year-old to that of Juande Ramos when he joined THFC, given that the latter was also at Sevilla before he was appointed at White Hart Lane, and were both doing similarly well in La Liga.

Ramos had finished third and fourth position in the table in his last two full seasons, while Lopetegui has managed to do the exact same.

The Verdict: Tottenham should consider Lopetegui

Even though it looks much more likely that Fonseca will end up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs should at least be considering Lopetegui as an alternative options, especially if talks with the former break down like they did with Conte.

The Spaniard did very well with Sevilla last season, guiding them to an impressive 77 points in La Liga and a comfortable fourth-placed finish, only behind the three giants of Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona and a mere nine points off of top spot in the end (BBC Sport).

He has also shown that he can win major trophies, guiding Sevilla to a 2019/20 UEFA Europa League triumph, which is exactly the kind of coach that the Lilywhites should be looking for as they look to end their recent trophy drought.

وينتهي عقد ليفاندوفسكي مع بايرن ميونخ في يونيو 2023، ورغم رغبة البافاري في استمرار البولندي في الموسم المقبل ولكن كثرت الأنباء عن إمكانية رحيله بعد انتهاء الموسم الحالي.

وبحسب التقرير، يرغب ليفاندوفسكي في الرحيل عن صفوف بايرن ميونخ وأولويته هي الانتقال إلى برشلونة وقلعة “كامب نو”.

يرى برشلونة أن ليفاندوفسكي صفقة ممكنة، حيث تواصل خوان لابورتا رئيس النادي مع وكلاء اللاعب البولندي وهناك موافقة من الأخير وهذا ما جعل العملاق الكتالوني لديه رغبة في التحرك بقوة لحسم الصفقة.

يريد برشلونة استغلال الأزمة الحالية بين ليفاندوفسكي وبايرن ميونخ، حيث أن النادي الألماني عرض التمديد لموسم واحد فقط على اللاعب وهو ما أدى إلى تدهور العلاقات بين الطرفين.

Crystal Palace may encounter further difficulties in their pursuit of a new manager after talks with Nuno Espirito Santo broke down, Matt Woosnam has warned.

The lowdown

Palace are searching for a successor to Roy Hodgson, who departed the club on the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

The Eagles were said to be on the verge of appointing Nuno, fresh from his Wolverhampton Wanderers exit.

But talks broke down this week, with a report from The Times suggesting the Portuguese coach was demanding that he be allowed to bring as many as seven members of his backroom staff from Molineux.

The vacancies may simply not have been there for Nuno’s contingent, given that only assistant coach Ray Lewington followed Hodgson out the door.

Palace finished 14th in the Premier League table, a healthy 16 points clear of the relegation zone.

Woosnam, a Palace correspondent for The Athletic, noted a concern that the club’s other targets may now be reluctant to take up the offer.

They know that they weren’t the club’s first-choice, he explains.

One of their options is Valerien Ismael, who led Barnsley into the Championship’s play-offs last season, but he’s tipped to attract interest from rival suitors.

The process is threatening to ‘linger on’ with time ‘ticking away’.

The verdict

Palace may need to look a little way down their latest of candidates and compromise, because this uncertainty must be resolved.

According to Football London, the club are in talks with a number of out-of-contract players over extensions, but will those players realistically commit when they don’t know who’s going to be in charge?

The club’s ability to devise a recruitment plan must also be significantly hindered by the current state of limbo – how can you plan a squad rebuild without knowing what sort of manager the players will be working under?

If Palace run into trouble next season, we might well think back to these delays as a major reason why.

O Corinthians participa da Florida Cup desde 2015, e nos dois anos enviou representantes ao evento da Disney: Paolo Guerrero na primeira vez e Elias da segunda. Coincidentemente, os dois jogadores deixaram o clube durante a temporada que iniciaram desfilando e tirando fotos com o Mickey e o Pateta e exibindo o símbolo do Timão. Em 2015, Guerrero saiu em maio para acertar com o Flamengo e em 2016 foi a vez de Elias ir embora – desta vez em agosto – para fechar com o Sporting (POR).

Agora, o Corinthians trabalha para que a “Maldição da Disney” não se repita com Fagner. O lateral está em sua quarta temporada seguida no clube e desde o ano passado tem sido convocado frequentemente para a Seleção Brasileira, o que aumenta a visibilidade e o assédio internacional. Aos 27 anos, ele ainda deseja uma boa transferência para a Europa, condição que os empresários têm buscado nos últimos meses. O contrato vai até dezembro de 2018.

Enquanto as propostas não aparecem, Fagner pensa no São Paulo e no clássico que decide a Florida Cup neste sábado, às 21h, e que pode dar seu segundo título com a camisa alvinegra. Ele também aproveita para se divertir na Disney. Assim como fizeram Guerrero e Elias nas últimas temporadas.
