Sam Inkersole has alleviated Chelsea fans’ fears after confirming star midfielder Jorginho will not leave the club this summer.

Jorginho has enjoyed a sensational 2021, winning the Champions League with the Blues before going on to celebrate Euro 2020 glory in Italian colours.

His trophy double has led to suggestions the 29-year-old is in the running to win the coveted Ballon d’Or.

But it has also resulted in his agent Joao Santos suggesting Italian giants Juventus are interested in completing a surprise transfer.

Jorginho made 43 Chelsea appearances last season and was instrumental as Thomas Tuchel led the west Londoners to the second Champions League trophy in their history.

The midfielder, who joined from Napoli after Manchester City pulled out of the race for the £50million-rated man in 2018, still has two years remaining on his £110,000-per-week contract so Chelsea do not need to sell.

Despite his agent’s suggestions that a move back to Serie A could be on the cards, football.london reporter Inkersole insists Jorginho will be going nowhere.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, Chelsea reporter Inkersole said: “His agent is one that does not stop talking. He’s one of the most vocal agents I’ve ever come across.

“Jorginho has had a fantastic 2021 and Chelsea would be absolutely mad to let him go. He’s in a real purple patch and he was incredibly impressive in the run to the Champions League final. He enhanced that even more in the Euros.

“Tuchel won’t want to sell him – that’s an absolute given – and I think Chelsea fans would not be very impressed if he was sold either. I’m pretty sure Chelsea are going to stick to their guns and not let him go.”

Southampton have been linked with a move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi recently, and he could prove to be a superb addition to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.

What’s the word?

According to 90min, Southampton are one of several sides taking an interest in the Belgian this summer, with West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Rangers and Celtic also reportedly monitoring his situation at Anfield.

Although he is regarded as a cult hero at the Merseyside club for his brace in the memorable 4-0 win against Barcelona in the Champions League, as well as a late second in the win against Tottenham Hotspur in the final, he was a fringe option for the majority of last season and struggled on his rare appearances in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Would Origi be a good signing for Southampton?

Origi has never really been able to produce consistently good form during his time at Liverpool, with Klopp rarely deviating from his front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

The former Wolfsburg man’s playing time was limited even further last season following the arrival and subsequent good form of Diogo Jota, as he made just five starts last season in all competitions, with a further 10 appearances from the bench.

During his time on the pitch, he would manage no goals and just one assist, so it is no surprise to see him linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, in the hope that regular playing time elsewhere would help him rediscover his goalscoring touch.

The 26-year-old has truthfully never been prolific, with his best goalscoring season coming in the 2014/15 Ligue 1 campaign, as he scored eight goals for Lille in a loan spell, after moving from Les Dogues to the Reds the previous summer.

Since then, the £10.8m-rated striker has featured in 157 games for Liverpool, in which he has managed 35 goals and 14 assists, so would bring plenty of Premier League experience with him if he were to move to St Mary’s this summer.

Considering his contract is set to expire at the end of next season, it seems clear that he will leave Liverpool this summer, which suggests that Hasenhuttl would be able to bring him in for a fairly low fee, and he could add some much-needed squad depth in attack, challenging Danny Ings and Che Adams for a starting spot in the Austrian manager’s side.

After scoring an impressive brace against Everton in 2019, Phil Neville was full of praise for the forward, saying:

“He’s got a taste for the big games. He has made big contributions in big games.”

Therefore, Origi arguably deserves a chance to show what he can do when afforded regular opportunities in a Premier League side, and given the price of any potential deal, he could prove to be an ideal, affordable option for the Saints this summer, so vice-chairman Martin Semmens should definitely look at bringing him in.

Former Leeds United player David Norris believes that signing Noni Madueke would offer the club something different.

Marcelo Bielsa has got Leeds playing attractive, high intensity football, with the club reaping the praise of many fans who have watched them.

Despite being easy on the eye to watch, Norris believes that Leeds need other ways of playing, saying: “That high intensity all the time, I don’t always think is going to work because teams will just step off and let them do their thing or play a bit longer and take that out of it.

“Teams are going to know more about them, so they might need a couple of different ways and options of playing.”

Madueke would add to Leeds attacking flair, with the ability to operate both as a winger and also down the middle as a striker. Last season for PSV Eindhoven, Madueke scored nine goals and provided eight assists in all competitions, showing that he will contribute to Leeds attack should he sign for the Elland Road outfit.

When asked by Football FanCast what Madueke will bring to the team, Norris added: “I think his composure is his big thing and he looks like he can play.”

According to Football Insider, the England Under-21 international has been linked with Leeds previously, but the Elland Road outfit were put off by his £25m price tag. That price is now believed to have been reduced to around £20m, which could see Leeds look to prise Madueke away from PSV this summer.

وقال ماكمانامان في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية: “يمكن لمانشستر يونايتد التعاقد مع فرينكي دي يونج لأنني لا أعتقد أنه قضى أفضل وقت في برشلونة، أعلم أن برشلونة قد عاد للتو إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا للموسم المقبل وهم يبنون شيئًا هناك، لكن لديه علاقة مع إريك تن هاج”.

After struggling early on against some tight England bowling, by close of play India had taken their score onto 156 for 3.Once again the match has attracted a substantial number of girls who have all enjoyed a free coaching session during the day that has been arranged at the centre of Excellence.Many of the younger girls once again took part in a Kwik Cricket match at lunchtime out on the pitch.One group of girls who are making the most of the week are the fourteen pupils from Bishop Foxes who are taking part in a summer school that is being run at the County Ground by the Somerset Playing for Success manager Simon Lowe.During the week the youngsters have focussed all of their activities on the England v India Test Match, and have interviewed the players, and a number of the other staff at the ground, they have produced a video diary of the match and have produced player profiles on both teams.In addition the girls have also enjoyed the two hour free coaching sessions that have been available to all girls who have attended the game.Earlier today Simon Lowe told me: “This has been one of the most rewarding activities that I have ever been involved in professionally, The girls have worked very hard on a wide range of tasks that have all been focussed on the Test Match.”This afternoon I asked Somerset chief executive Peter Anderson for the club’s perspective on the match. He told me: “Somerset County Cricket Club regard it as an honour to stage a women’s international cricket match between England and India at the County Ground, and we hope that the players from both sides are enjoying their time in Taunton.”He concluded : "I have been impressed with the high level of skills that have been demonstrated by both groups of players.”With another good day forecast, tomorrow promises to be another interesting day’s play for all of those who go along.

Na manhã desta quinta-feira, a diretoria do Atlético-MG entrou com requerimento na Federação Mineira de Futebol na tentativa de anular a decisão do Cruzeiro que proíbe a entrada de faixas e instrumentos musicais da torcida alvinegra para o clássico que será realizado neste sábado às 16h, no Mineirão, pela 10ª rodada do Estadual.

Em nota, a diretoria atleticana alega que a proibição não está no regulamento do campeonato e cita a não repreensão da Polícia sobre a entrada de bandeiras e instrumentos.

O Atlético acionou, na manhã desta quinta-feira, a FMF, para que a mesma faça cumprir o regulamento e comunique a PM, sobre a entrada de bandeiras e instrumentos no Mineirão, na partida diante do Cruzeiro. Vale lembrar que, na reunião, a polícia não se opôs à questão.

Em reunião realizada na terça-feira o Cruzeiro decidiu que a torcida atleticana não terá acesso às arquibancadas com bandeiras, faixas e instrumentos musicais e a entrada do “Galo Doido”, mascote do Altético, não será permitida. Além das primeiras abstenções, foi determinado que os jogadores não poderiam entrar em campo com crianças, porém a FMF não permitiu que a decisão fosse levada à frente.

Para o clássico, foi acordado entre os times que o Cruzeiro tem direto a 90% da arquibancada do Mineirão (51.300 lugares), enquanto os torcedores atleticanos terão 5.700 ingressos disponibilizados, completando os 10%.

Justificando a decisão da Raposa, o vice-presidente de futebol do clube, Bruno Vicintin, alegou que o ato reflete uma reciprocidade, já que o Altético-MG veta as mesmas coisas quando a partida é disputada no Independência.

– Até na diplomacia existe a reciprocidade. Essas picuinhas não ganham jogo. Porém o Cruzeiro tem direito de exercer a reciprocidade. Nossa torcida merece respeito, sofre muito no Independência. Estas coisas no clássico, proibição de mascote, bandeira, instrumento, foram criadas pelo nosso rival. Estamos fazendo uma reciprocidade.
